Back on SoundCloud
I was trying to find an alternative to SoundCloud to upload my DJ mixes,
and there really isn't any other like it other than MixCloud, which is
$15 a month to be able to live stream and upload without worry about
DMCA strikes. The interface isn't as polished and not as many people are
on there as they are on SoundCloud, and in my experience I've actually
received "thanks for the support" comments for my uploads since I make
sure to credit the song artist, which is the very least I can do. (Plus
purchase music where I can.) A big goal of mine is to eventually learn
how to make my own music and mixes!
I'd love to find an open
source version of SoundCloud, so if anyone knows of one let me know.ย
But for now, I'm back! I'll be uploading mixes from live streams and
will upload more offline since that's a bit easier for the times I don't
want to stream. I think I'll do more discord music streams for our
community as well.ย
